Do you have the ability to record Minecraft videos? Yes, i will see the best recording software to use in order to do so. i usually use nvidia recording since it easy for me to use readily.
Have you ever been punished on CytoNetwork? I have been muted once, for "discrimination". i posted an image i found on another server thought it would be funny, i didnt relize my mistake at the time.
Why do you want to become a staff member? Mostly to learn and understand how moderation works, why someone is muted or banned, and to gain experience by becoming a staff member through working with others and socializing.
Have you ever been staff on any other servers? If so, what kind of experience did you have? I haven't, so i wouldn't know. But from my time i spent on cyto, i did learn a lot by simply watching more or less
If you were in a situation that you did not know how to handle, what would you do? I will probably first seek help from a fellow staff member to ask for guidance, if they aren't available or busy, i will try to do the best i can. so say somebody said a slur or posted something explicit, if i am unsure whether to mute or ban, i will go with the lighter option until i can seek another staff member's opinion to guide me
What would you do if someone was being disrespectful towards you / others? if they broke a rule clearly stated, i will look for what actions i should take in return,i also heard that sometimes "evidence" is required, so maybe also take a screenshot then take action. else if they are just being "mean"/"annoying" but aren't breaking any rules, then i could ignore, or a simple verbal warning to not go too far
Do you have any disabilities? i wear glasses, which sometimes counts as a disability, nothing else that i know of
Do you have any other hobbies besides playing Minecraft? I play many other games, so gaming is a hobby overall. Besides it, i do like most forms of entertainment, watching movies/tv shows, anime, and reading manga/manhwa. Sad to say, but I don't think i have many "productive" hobbies
How many staff applications have you made prior to this one? This is my first try. And i don't plan on trying again since i don't feel too "eager" for a simple learning experience such as this one
Commitments: I don't have an important role in any other community as of now. aside from my real life work, i should be available
Do you have leadership skills? From my pov, i usually am the one taking actions or at least mapping out clear goals for everyone to follow and complete. i would say I'm a good people person, so working with me is easy and usually straightforward.
[Scenario 1: Handling Rule Breakers] From what i saw, i should ban this player for 3 days if it's their first time griefing, if it's their 2nd, a week, and increasingly more till a permanent ban, I believe. Also, inform a staff member to revert the griefed area
[Scenario 2: Toxicity in Chat] I would try a simple verbal warning to tone it down. If they continue on or it gets more heated, i will issue a proper warning, and of course, if slurs or spamming, etc, get excessive or out of hand, i will mute them accordingly.
[Scenario 3: New Player] Welcome! Tell them to check the site for the rules. .ip to let them join the Minecraft server, and make sure to check the Discord server for the latest announcements and events. If they have any further inquiries/questions, they can make a ticket, and the staff members will assist them there.
[Scenario 4: Suspected Cheating] I will try my best to verify if they are cheating by going into vanish and recording their actions to make sure i have both evidence to ban them for cheating and proof of their actions, i will also ask other staff for their opinion and expertise if i need help
[Scenario 5: Ban Appeals] I'm not 100% sure how appeals work since i haven't seen any accepted. But if there was an appeal that seemed genuine, i would see the past activity of the player if they have in any way changed, but mostly i would ask for other staff's thoughts since I am unsure
Why should we accept your application over others? I would say "I fit the bill" for a server like this one. been part of the community for some time, and from what i saw, a lot are being banned and muted frequently, yet i wasn't part of that majority despite my frequent interaction with the community. And from the time spent active on cyto, i would say I'm well accustomed to the rules, behaviors, and ongoings overall, also being kind of well-known to cyto members
Is there anything else that you would like to add to your application? I joined back in season 2, when it was coming to a close. Right now it is "3.5" as i have seen how season 3 went, i could tell the feeling of "lacking" is present and that changes must be made somehow for the server to keep going, never mind thrive. i guess i just want to offer my thoughts and opinions more than anything in hopes to help manage the server better
