Hey everyone,
I want to share something important regarding my future at Cyto Network.
After being part of Cyto for almost 4 years now, I've decided that once Season 4 releases, I will be retiring from Cyto.
This isn't an easy decision taken quickly, this is something I've been thinking for a long time. Cyto has been a huge part of my life for a long time, and over the past years I've spent countless hours working on the network. I have been working on developing plugins, building backend systems, maintaining the infrastructure, building, and constantly trying to improve the way everything is handled. Much of this work isn't always visible from the outside, but it's what allows the network to function, evolve and have better bases for easier updates.
What started as something small eventually grew into a project that demanded a lot of time and attention, and for me, this has always been a hobby, something I genuinely enjoy doing. However, the reality is that sometimes it ends up taking more than my entire day and my attention that I need to dedicate to other tasks, over time that level of commitment becomes harder to maintain alongside everything else in life.
I will be moving into another project where my preferences and ambitions are higher, but also one that won't require my constant attention or availability.
Before stepping away, my goal is to make sure Season 4 releases with everything prepared and ready, and that the network is left in a stable and solid position. I want to make sure the work done over these years continues to serve Cyto well, even after I'm no longer actively involved.
I'm super grateful to everyone who has been part of Cyto throughout this journey, I've met some amazing people, some funny and that I could spend my time with them outside Cyto, and some others a bit more annoying along the way.
Thank you to all the staff members who have been constantly giving attention to Cyto and trying to help me with anything possible, I'm very grateful for that.
Thank you to all the players who dedicated and enjoyed their time playing, reporting players and bugs, giving suggestions... You are the real base of the server
It has been a long journey, and I'm really proud of what we've built all together.
It's been an important chapter for me, and I've learnt A LOT along, both technically and personally.
Thank for being part of this journey.
With love,
Jupper.
