Do you have the ability to record Minecraft videos? Yes.

Have you ever been punished on CytoNetwork? 1. Illegal Trapping / Killing Methods (1st Degree)
This occurred during my second week on the server, and at the time, I wasn’t fully informed about the finer details of the rules. After another player trapped me in lava, I decided to retaliate by doing the same to them, assuming it was acceptable. However, I quickly learned that this behavior was against the rules and was met with the appropriate punishment. I sincerely apologized to the player I wronged and accepted my punishment, using the experience as an opportunity to understand the rules more thoroughly and ensure it wouldn’t happen again.

2. Flooding Chat
In another instance, I continued a joke with other members about a "low taper fade ninja" meme. My message was three lines long, and I didn’t realize that this was considered flooding the chat, which I now understand is against the rules. I have since learned the importance of keeping chat clear and respectful for everyone’s enjoyment.

Why do you want to become a staff member? 1. Keeping the Community Fun and Welcoming
I’ve grown to love this server—not just for its gameplay but for the unique interactions, inside jokes, and chaotic yet hilarious moments that make it feel like home. I want to help maintain that energy by ensuring the environment stays enjoyable and inclusive for everyone, no matter their skill level or background.

2. Helping New Players Settle In
I remember what it was like to be new and unsure about the server’s rules and culture. Now, I want to be someone that newcomers can turn to for guidance, helping them understand the semi-anarchy system so they can enjoy their time here without unnecessary confusion or accidental rule-breaking.

3. Supporting the Staff and the Growing Community
The current staff does an incredible job keeping things running smoothly, but with the community growing every day, it’s clear that more hands are needed. I’d love to step up and help manage the increasing number of support requests, ensuring that players get the assistance they need without long wait times.

4. Making the Ban and Appeal Process Fairer
Everyone deserves a fair chance, and I believe the ban and appeal system could be more transparent. I’d like to introduce a more structured process where both sides can present their case, along with a system that considers past offenses to ensure punishments are appropriate and fair.

Have you ever been staff on any other servers? If so, what kind of experience did you have? Although I have not directly supervised a Discord or Minecraft server, I have volunteered as an organizer and coach for various events and classes, where I was responsible for mentoring and supporting other participants. This experience allowed me to develop key skills in leadership, problem-solving, and communication, which I believe would transfer well to a server staff role. I learned how to handle different personalities, manage conflicts, and ensure that events ran smoothly, all of which are essential in maintaining a positive and efficient server environment.

If you were in a situation that you did not know how to handle, what would you do? If I encountered a situation I didn’t know how to handle, my first step would be to refer to the server's written rules and standard procedures. If the situation was unique or unprecedented, I would reach out to another staff member or superior for guidance. If that option wasn’t available or didn’t resolve the issue, I would seek input from the players online to gauge the general sentiment and perspective. Based on that feedback, I would aim to find a fair and just solution that considers all parties involved and aligns with the server’s values.

What would you do if someone was being disrespectful towards you / others? If someone were being disrespectful towards others, I would enforce the server’s rules and follow established procedures to maintain a healthy, welcoming, and respectful environment for everyone. If the disrespect were directed at me personally, I would approach the situation by following the same reporting process as any other user. This ensures that my actions are not influenced by personal feelings, allowing me to handle the situation impartially and fairly, without potentially leading to injustice for the other person involved.

Do you have any disabilities?

Do you have any other hobbies besides playing Minecraft? Besides playing Minecraft, I enjoy a variety of other hobbies. I’m an avid gamer and play titles like DotA2, Valorant, Souls-like games, and story-driven games. I also have a strong interest in electronics and robotics, where I enjoy experimenting and building projects. Additionally, I have a passion for design, writing, and coding, which allow me to explore my creativity in different ways.

How many staff applications have you made prior to this one? none.

Commitments: school / robotics diploma (101)

Do you have leadership skills? Yes, I have developed strong leadership skills through my involvement in robotics and event volunteering. I’ve participated in eight robotics competitions, including the National Sumo Robot Competition at Al Hussein Technical University (2022, 2023, 2024), the National Ball Collector Robot Competition (2022), the FLL competition (2023), the Arab Closed Sumo Robot Competition (2023), and Innovation Nation (2023). Additionally, I have led a robotics course where I coached peers my age. Beyond robotics, I regularly volunteer as an event organizer, further honing my leadership abilities by managing teams and coordinating tasks to ensure smooth operations.

On the server, I’ve also led a team called "Panzer," where I helped six newcomers get settled and feel at home, further demonstrating my ability to guide and support others in a leadership role.

P.S. I am more than happy to provide any relevant certificates or additional documentation if needed to verify my experience and qualifications.

[Scenario 1: Handling Rule Breakers] If a player is accused of griefing and there is clear evidence that they violated the server’s rules, I would handle the situation strictly according to the server’s guidelines. I would ensure that my actions are unbiased, treating the situation with fairness and consistency, regardless of any personal relationships or opinions. It is important to follow the rules impartially to maintain the integrity of the server and ensure justice for all players involved.

[Scenario 2: Toxicity in Chat] If a heated argument breaks out and one player is being particularly toxic and offensive, I would first ensure that I follow the server’s rules and policies. My approach would be to de-escalate the situation by calmly addressing both parties and encouraging a more respectful tone. I would also take the time to fully understand the situation, examining all the details to ensure that I apply the rules fairly and justly. My goal would be to resolve the conflict in a way that maintains a positive and respectful environment for all players involved.

[Scenario 3: New Player] If a new player joins the server and seems confused about the rules or how things work, I would guide them through the rules, policies, and the unique nature of the server at a comfortable pace, ensuring they fully understand without feeling overwhelmed. I would make sure to reassure them that both I and my fellow staff members are always available to assist them whenever needed, and that they can reach out for help at any time. My goal would be to make them feel welcome and supported as they adjust to the server.

[Scenario 4: Suspected Cheating] If I notice a player suspected of using cheats or hacks, I would first gather clear and concrete evidence of the behavior. After reviewing it carefully, I would seek a second opinion from other staff members to ensure that my assessment remains unbiased and fair. Once all the information has been considered, I would proceed with a suitable and just verdict based on the server’s rules and the evidence at hand, ensuring fairness for all players.

[Scenario 5: Ban Appeals] If a player who was banned for inappropriate behavior appeals their ban, I would first gather all relevant information, including the player's history and any past rule violations. I would carefully evaluate these previous breaches to understand the player’s behavior pattern. After reviewing the player’s history, I would then assess the current offense, considering its severity and the intentions behind it. Based on this thorough evaluation, I would propose a verdict that takes both the player’s past actions and the server's rules into account, ensuring a fair and just decision.

Why should we accept your application over others? You should accept my application because I bring a unique combination of experience, fairness, and a strong commitment to maintaining a positive environment on the Cyto Network. As the prior leader of the Panzer team on the server, I’ve had the opportunity to help newcomers settle in and guide them through the server's mechanics. My leadership experience, along with my background in robotics coaching and event organizing, has taught me how to handle both group dynamics and individual concerns effectively. I approach every situation impartially, ensuring that the server’s rules and procedures are followed to achieve fair outcomes. Additionally, my dedication to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all players, especially newcomers, would contribute to making Cyto Network an even better place for everyone. I’m confident that my approach and skills would make me a valuable addition to your team.

Is there anything else that you would like to add to your application? I would like to emphasize that I am fully committed to contributing positively to the Cyto Network community. I take pride in creating a friendly and supportive environment for all players, especially newcomers. I am always open to feedback and eager to improve, ensuring that my actions as a staff member align with the server's values. Additionally, my passion for gaming, robotics, and technology gives me a unique perspective that I can bring to the staff team. I’m eager to take on this role and help ensure that Cyto Network remains a thriving, enjoyable place for everyone.

Hello @Issam_malhis,

Thank you for your interest in joining our team as staff and for taking the time to submit your application. We regret to inform you that we won't be moving forward with your candidacy at this time.

Feedback for future opportunities
You have shared several skills for the role and ideas and approaches on how to handle different situations as a staff member. However, we noticed that you are not meeting the specified requirements listed here. The usage of Large AI Language Models is strictly prohibited.

For future opportunities and making sure you meet all the requirements, we encourage you to ask yourself, for each skill or experience you reference, the following:
  • How am I demonstrating that I truly possess this skill? Simply stating that you have a quality isn't enough - you need to provide detailed explanations and context.
  • Have I provided a real-life example or situation that supports my claim?
  • Did I explain my actions and how I grew or improved in the roles or experiences I mentioned?
  • Why is this particular experience important to highlight? What lessons did I take away from it?
  • How does it directly connect to the responsibilities of the staff position?

When you will be able to reapply?
You may be able to reapply in a lapse of 2 weeks from now and when you made sure to meet all the staff application requirements. We encourage you to continue working on these areas and then we invite you to reapply, at which point you will have the chance to demonstrate your progress.
